Debate

A favorite hobby of mine is Debate. In a field trip for the Debate club (which I am part of) we went to Washington D.C. for NAIMUN, which was a debate that consisted of people from all around the world in one hotel. We had to debate about world issues and were assigned countries, mine being unfortunately Burundi, an African country, now I have nothing against Burundi, but I would've rather have had a country that had more about the topic that was also assigned to me.

Gift for my Birthday; an Electric Guitar

I don't have a amazing music talent, and I can be tone-deaf when it comes to listening to a song and trying to figure out playing it without the chords or tabs. My laziness and school work haven't been to kind, and I am a bit out of practice, of course I still remember the chords but I have forgotten to play songs, I want to learn to play songs and become better, but I need someone to teach me the ways of the guitar.

I got into guitar when I was younger when I heard songs from my dads ipod, and I loved how the guitar sounded, and thats when I decided that I wanted to learn guitar. I would've been more committed in the past with my lessons, but before I didn't appreciate music as much as I know do, as in I was ignorant and never practiced, but I still would (usually) nail it, but I found it boring cause it wasn't what I heard in those fast beat guitar songs my dad listened to. All we played was Classical (which now I have taken more of a liking), and it wasn't what I really thought it was.

For a while I put down this Electric guitar and it was forgotten. a year or possibly months later this feeling from within arose and it told me to pick up the guitar and attempt to teach myself and practice chords. This is when I began practice again.

Throughout the course of the following years the guitar would stay dormant for a while, or I would get inspiration again to play.

For a certain amount of time I was obsessed with Minecraft, and a couple friends and I made a sever and played every time we didn't have school work to do. we would build houses and see who had the mos creative house, or who had the best trap, or even who could find the "secret room," thinking back to it I find it nerdy in so many different levels, but that doesn't matter since it was fun. We would build actual man-made structures such as the time when my friend built the Saint Basil's Cathedral. Sometimes we build characters 8-bit characters such as Link, Luffy and things like that.

Only issue with this game is that you can do everything you are able to do in a matter of hours, then it gets boring because it seems like there is nothing else to do, and when there is a new feature added, it gets boring quick. In the end this game requires lots of creativity and everyone has their limits.

Introduction to the Portfolio

Hello, my name is Matthew, i am fourteen years-old and this is my online portfolio. As an assignment for my Computer class I will show you what my talents are and what I do on my free time, so in other words how I am in my daily life, what I do in my free time, and what I am good at. What I like to do in my free time is to try new things, and out of these new things that I've been allowed to try and that I enjoy are: Painting, doodling, Surfing, using a jetski, play guitar, writing, attempt to interpret quotes, filming and acting

Things I like and enjoy will mostly consist of music, and funny videos. The type of music I enjoy the most are rap, heavy metal, rock, classical, techno and party music, but in the end I listen to about anything. I like making videos for school or with friends because acting is just fun, and editing the videos is amusing at a certain degree.
